Tutu Wahine, Tutu Kane, Dad, Aunty, Uncle 1949

Back in the day, you were not suppose to be Hawaiian, they all wore long sleeves and shoes. Go figure.

Is there a trend toward re-embracing Hawaiian heritage? Would that not be so cool?

Is it illegal in Hawaii to enter a grocery store or similar place of business without a shirt or shoes? Just curious; in New Zealand you don't see "no shoes, no shirt, no service" signs posted anywhere. At an upscale restaurant in a larger town you might see a sign that says, "Appropriate attire please."

I live in my bare feet from March to November. I am truly at home in bare feet, even when Michigan weather turns cold. This drove my grandfather nuts because, as an immigrant from Scotland, bare feet meant you were poor, and being poor was shameful.

I cast my vote: free the feet from the confines of shoes!

"you come from good stock", as my gramma used to say. how sad that this country made different cultures feel like they had to hide their uniqueness and beauty.

1) Zilla definitely free the feet. I'm with you on that.

2) Thanks for implementing the filter. I didn't even know they had provided the option.
